Why join BSC?

Our teachers and coaches are qualified and paid. We think this makes for a better result for our swimmers.

We offer a high standard of coaching and a high number of swimming hours, all run by qualified staff.

We’re a friendly and inclusive club. Many of our swimmers and coaches have been with us since the start of their competitive swimming journey, which gives the club a distinct family feel.

We’re small enough that you can get to know everyone quickly but we compete strongly with much bigger clubs in the area.

Who can join?

We have groups catering for very young swimmers (minimum age 6, who can comfortably swim a 25m length), to teens competing at British Nationals and adults training for Masters competitions.

We don’t offer lessons to beginner swimmers, preferring instead to focus on our main purpose as a competitive club. You can contact Everyone Active at Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre or any other local organisation about their Learn to Swim programme.

If you have health issues or any special needs, please contact our welfare officer to arrange a chat about what the club can do for you.

How do I join?

Take a look around our website. You can see our training schedule here, which tells you where and when we train and gives you an idea of how a swimmer can progress, the range of groups we cater for and the possible training commitment.

If you’re interested in joining, please complete our online waiting list form for yourself or your child. Please provide as much information as possible about any swimming achievements, times and distances swum.

Our membership secretary reviews the waiting list every week and we invite new applicants to trial sessions depending on the number of spaces in the appropriate group.
