About Bromsgrove Swimming Club

Bromsgrove Swimming Club was founded in 1966. Since then we’ve helped thousands of young people learn to swim, attend their first swimming galas or competitive meets or just improve their technique.

The club is all inclusive and offers something for everyone. We are committed to all of our members, whether they are new swimmers, competition swimmers or those who want to swim for fitness. Our squad structure reflects the fact that every swimmer is different and comes to us with their own expectations and needs.

Led by our club chair Ruth Beckley and acting head coach Pete Carey with support from director of swimming Pete Carey, we are a small, friendly club with ideas above our station. We hold our own in competition with clubs that outrank us in size and although we look to grow the club, we recognise the importance of looking after every individual so that they can meet their personal goals.

The club is run by a team of volunteers (in common with many other swim clubs) who look after membership, finances, coaching, marketing and admin in their spare time.
